Rev. Brian R. Louis was called to Faith Presbyterian Church in October 2022 as the church’s third installed pastor. It was Brian’s first call after graduating from the University of Chicago Divinity School with a Master of Divinity degree in June 2022.
Brian joined the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in 2018 as a member of Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago. He also served as a seminarian for two years at Second Presbyterian Church in Chicago. He was ordained as a minister of Word and Sacrament in the PCUSA and installed as Pastor at Faith on Nov. 20, 2022.
Brian was born in Marshfield, Wisconsin, and graduated from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities with a degree in journalism. Before being called to the ministry, Brian was a journalist for about 25 years, including 12 years at Bloomberg News. Brian spent most of his career writing about business and finance. He has lived in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, New York, North Carolina, Illinois, and now Arizona.
His father and brother still live in Wisconsin along with a host of other relatives. While Brian says he misses his family back in Wisconsin, he says he will not miss the winters there. In his free time, Brian enjoys attending sporting events and plays, music, traveling, reading, writing, hiking, and playing basketball.
