We begin April with a solemn Maundy Thursday service on April 2, which combines the
commemoration of the Last Supper with a “Service of Shadows” (Tenebrae.) The Tene-
brae service will help us identify with the darkness and loss felt by Jesus’ followers as they
experienced his death.
